Our Addiction Treatment Facility

  • Is this a referral service or an actual rehab center? This is an actual rehab center with a full staff of doctors, nurses, therapists and other clinical staff with a minimum experience of 7 and maximum of 22 years in the field of addiction rehab.
  • Do you accept insurance and which ones? Yes, we accept insurance. There is a long list of insurance companies we work with, so the option is to give us a call and specify your insurance company.
  • Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid? No, and it has to do with the limitations associated with Medicaid and Medicare plans.
  • How effective are your treatment plans? Highly effective, incorporating a comprehensive psychological test upon admission to determine the best treatment option for each individual.
  • Is supervised medical detox performed in your facility or do you have to send your patients to another facility for detox? Yes, our facility is one of the few rehab centers licensed to perform medical detox.
  • What is the proficiency level of medical & clinical professionals on your staff? MD, ARNP, LPN, RN & LMHC
  • Are the therapists on your staff certified? Our staff consists of certified professionals with the minimum of 7 and the maximum of 24 years experience each, in the field of addiction recovery
  • Is the quality of meals monitored? There is a Certified Registered Dietitian on staff who provides guidelines and recommendations on all food prepared on premises
  • How much does the treatment cost? There are more than one criteria for the cost of treatment, which include the length of stay and is influenced by the financial ability of our client. We are in the business of providing treatment to those who need our service. We would love to provide the service free to all who need it. This, as you can guess, is rather unrealistic given the expenses of a medical facility like ours. However, we do provide financial help as often as we can and as much as our fluctuating scholarship budget allows.

A Center for Addiction Recovery, CFAR, is an accredited rehab center, providing the most up-to-date Medical Detox, Intensive Outpatient and Residential Addiction Treatment Programs since 2002. Our addiction treatment programs provide treatment for male and female clients who are struggling with alcohol, drugs, prescription drugs and process addictions such as compulsive gambling and eating disorders.

CFAR embraces traditional and holistic approaches in the treatment of addiction which includes the non-12 Step SMART RECOVERY, and the 12 Step Recovery Program. All addiction treatment programs at Florida Center For Addiction Recovery focus on treating the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of our clients' recovery, helping them to identify and address the root causes that may have triggered their addictive behaviors. There are many instances that a past trauma has played a major role in someone's addiction which in turns affects his or her treatment and recovery. In such cases we utilize the most promising trauma treatment approach, Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), which is exclusively delivered at A Center for Addiction Recovery by the founder and the developer of this therapy, Dr. Jon Connelly.

During RRT clients do not become overwhelmed or feel helpless by re-living the traumatic event. Neither do they go through hypnosis. They are able to clear their trauma while awake and present. Once the mind is clear from the trauma, clients have a far greater chance of achieving a successful recovery. With one-half to two-thirds of people with addictions suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and about the same proportion of people with PTSD having developed an addiction, CFAR finds it absolutely essential to treat both conditions effectively at the same time to provide clients with the best chance for a successful recovery.

All of our addiction treatment therapies are delivered by our experienced, caring and non-judgmental addiction specialists which consist of physicians, psychiatrists, nursing professionals, licensed social workers and mental health counselors. All treatment services are provided in our er acre facility without any need to transport clients to different locations for different therapies. This allows our clients to comfortably transition from detox to residential treatment under the supervision of the staff that has got to know them and follows their treatment closely through various stages of recovery.

Relieving Stress During Addiction Treatment

As part of CFAR's innovative approach in the treatment of addiction, we combine medical detox with biofeedback sessions. This powerful treatment approach is delivered at our Serenity Lounge, where a combination of music, choreographed imagery, vibrations and bi-neural beats are utilized to induce a natural meditative state. By utilizing biofeedback therapy, clients practice deep-breathing and engage in positive emotional thoughts. The "Serenity" biofeedback sessions are proven to be a very successful tool in aiding the process of mental and emotional healing in individuals who are starting their recovery. Biofeedback is one of the many holistic therapies that A Center for Addiction Recovery offers to promote relaxation and stress release. These therapies include but are not limited to: Yoga, Meditation, Massage Therapy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Personal Training and sports activities such as Basketball and Volleyball.
